A TOAST TO ALL CHRISTMAS CHEFS!

This is my beautiful mother-in-law Linda Cooney. Today we went to lunch at one of my favorite Los Angeles haunts, AOC in West Hollywood, to celebrate a job well done.

Between the two of us, we pulled off a full on family cooking feast for 3 days straight… Christmas Eve, Christmas Day AND Boxing Day (a traditional British holiday the day after Christmas.) Turkeys, mince pies, cookies and cakes, and we did it all while caring for sick husbands and sick little ones. (I would mention that we both had our own annoying colds to deal with, but we all know mums don’t get sick!) This lady beside me is a warrior, a fantastic cook, and an amazing inspiration to me in so many ways and I want the world to know how much I appreciate her.

Let’s raise a glass and say cheers to all the Christmas cooks out there who make the holidays delicious no matter what obstacles are in front of them.
